YOUR INTEREST INVENTORY
Equip your spheres
Choose from the shared sphere library; equip up to 20 interests per sphere. A core sphere gives its contents twice the influence.
Choose a sphere
Anime, games, social activities, cult classics—and more. Each library offers 25 starting ideas. Personality and love languages live in the optional character sheet.
Type in any sphere to search. English / Chinese / Japanese / Korean labels appear when available; missing labels stay blank. Choose the right film, series, or game using its description.
What do the interest states mean?
Love: a passion · Enjoy: a positive interest · Curious: want to try · Cosplay: mark want to do or have done · Not for me: skip as a shared activity · Fine for others: neutral · Dealbreaker: hide people who love or enjoy it. These are your preferences, not judgments about others.

NO MYSTERY ALGORITHM
Choose how your
directory is ranked.
Save your scoring choices to refresh the directory. Shared paths and preferences must fit in both directions before interest scores are used.
The blend uses 70% normalized interests + 30% mutual question preference fit. If either direction lacks enough answers/preferences, it uses interests alone. Indices are not probabilities.
Scores are interest points, not a percentage or a prediction of attraction. Both sliders can be zero, producing ties. Character stats and MBTI do not affect these scores. The two sliders adjust Interest Points only. No personality inference or hidden AI.
The recipe
- Filter: chosen connection, dating intention, friendship focus, gaming-group type, or development path, the location reach for each selected path, and dealbreakers. A person stays eligible if at least one shared path fits.
- Shared interests: Love / Have cosplayed = 3; Enjoy = 2. Multiply your value by theirs.
- Curiosity: curious / want to cosplay + love/enjoy earns their positive value; two curious people earn 1.
- Core spheres: double the contribution of your interests in that sphere.
- Different tastes: “Not for me” subtracts 1 when they love/enjoy it. “Fine for others” stays neutral.
- Rank: shared points × shared weight + curiosity points × curiosity weight − different-taste penalties. Floor at zero.
Exact titles are matched across categories, ignoring case and extra spaces. Built-in aliases include FFX / Final Fantasy X and D&D / Dungeons & Dragons. Localized labels of selected titles map to their English entry. Online results use English labels for scoring. Repeated titles count once. Related titles are not automatically linked. Identical English titles currently count as one shared fandom; editions are not separated yet.
Algorithm details & public research
Normalized overlap: weighted Jaccard is the sum of weighted minimum interest values divided by sum of weighted maximum values, ×100. Core spheres double the weights. Negative-taste penalties are subtracted after scoring.
Mutual question fit: compare each person’s stated preference with the other’s answer, in both directions. Combine the two directional ratios using their geometric mean. Skipped answers and “no preference” do not earn or lose points. Very important preferences weigh 3; important 2; ordinary 1. Only eligible shared paths contribute question lanes: Friend for friendship, Partner for dating, Teammate for gaming or creative connections. Selecting several paths combines their relevant lanes.
These are transparent matching rules. The mutual-preference idea is informed by published reciprocal-recommendation research; this implementation does not reproduce the paper’s behavioral model or retrieve a commercial service’s private algorithm.

Language that could shape the app
Party member / companion: a teammate or fellow adventurer. Love interest: a character positioned as a possible romantic partner. Romance route: a path through a character’s relationship story. Transfer student / new arrival: a setup for meeting a new cast. Bond: a connection that grows through shared experiences.
HP&Party is our chosen name: romantic sparks, kindred spirits, and shared adventures. Trying a name updates the header, profile banners, font samples, and browser title. The deployed address stays the same.
