Your story belongs to you. Here is what HP&Party keeps, who can see it, and how to make changes.
Who this notice covers
HP&Party is an independent, adults-only beta for romance, friendship, gaming and creative connections. The site administrator operates this service and handles privacy requests through Contact & help. This notice describes this website, including signed-out contact requests. It does not replace the policies of a service you visit through an external link.
What we collect, and why
- Account information: your email, public username, account identifier, email-verification state and login activity. These let us register you, authenticate you, recover your account and prevent abuse. Our authentication provider handles passwords, email codes and optional authenticator factors; passwords are not displayed to the administrator.
- Your profile: the age, country, region, city, languages, connection goals, preferences, Spheres, character answers, quotes and other details you choose to save. We use them to show your profile to eligible members and order compatible profiles. Optional answers may reveal sensitive things about you. Leave them blank if you do not want them used or shared.
- Your uploads: profile photos, banners and Alter Ego images, including captions. The website prepares images as JPEGs and removes file metadata. The content of the picture itself can still reveal a face, location or other personal information.
- Membership and admin messages: the administrator records a membership type, start and end dates, access status, a member-facing explanation and private administrative notes. Official messages are delivered to a specific account or to current accounts as a group. We store deliveries and read status; the administrator can see aggregate read counts. An individual recipient cannot see the other recipients.
- Your connections: requests, accepted conversations, messages, read state, private categories, pins and blocks. These support the connection and messaging features.
- Support and safety: reports, feedback, optional screenshots, replies, and any email or details you include in a signed-out contact request. Feedback may include the app section and, only if you choose, browser and screen-size information. Screenshots upload only when you submit them. We do not record your screen in the background.
- Private identity information: if you voluntarily provide a legal name, it is encrypted and available through restricted administrator tools. If hosted ID checks are enabled, you see a separate provider disclosure and consent step first. Raw passport/ID images and verification selfies go to that provider, not our profile-photo storage. We keep the session reference, result, adult-check result and, where returned, an encrypted name. Email verification is not an ID check.
- Service and security information: hosting and authentication services process network information such as IP addresses and request logs. The application uses rate limits, hashed contact-request identifiers and an administrator activity log to operate and protect the service.
Forum posts and replies
The Forum is a shared space for active signed-in adult members. Posting shares your public username and text with those members even if your directory profile is private or limited to mutual preferences. Forum participation does not publish your email, legal name or private profile fields. Posts are not available through the application to signed-out visitors. Blocked members cannot view each other’s topics or replies. Other people may still copy or describe content they can see.
You can edit or delete your own visible posts; locked or moderated posts cannot be edited. Deleting a discussion removes it and all its replies, including replies from other members. Deleting an individual reply removes that reply. Account deletion removes your discussions and their replies, plus your replies elsewhere. Forum reports and moderation records may remain with restricted administrator access for safety review.
Who can see your information
Profile creation offers a clearly labelled Create & join the directory step, or a private draft. Joining makes your public profile fields, approximate location and images visible to the audience you select: all signed-in members with active access, or only members with mutual connection preferences. Existing private or paused profiles stay private until you choose to join; existing limited audiences are preserved. A signed-in adult member with a saved username and age can browse profiles shared with them while keeping their own profile private. They must join the directory before sending connection requests. Your email, private legal name and private dating preferences are not included in their profile responses. Accepted conversations remain available when you pause directory visibility, subject to active membership access. Your conversation labels and pins are private to you.
Messages are available to the participants through the application; they are not end-to-end encrypted. Administrators and service providers may access stored data when necessary to operate the service, address a report, investigate abuse or meet a lawful obligation. Feedback and screenshots are accessible through protected endpoints to their sender and authorized administrators; signed-out contact messages are administrator-only.
We use service providers for hosting and storage (OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare), authentication (Supabase), and email delivery through the authentication project's configured email provider. Cloudflare Turnstile helps screen automated registration and login. Google is contacted if you choose enabled Google sign-in. Live fandom search sends the title you type to Wikidata without your HP&Party account details. Hosted identity checks, when enabled, use Veriff and its separate privacy notice.
The application does not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising. Necessary disclosures may also be made to comply with applicable law or protect people from abuse. Service providers process data under their own applicable terms and obligations.
Matching, location and international use
Hero and Antagonist matching use the preferences and interests members supply. Scores describe shared or different interests, not your worth, attraction, psychological health or a prediction that a relationship will succeed. Browse all members shows profiles shared with the community across locations and connection goals; it does not apply interest dealbreakers as browsing filters. Restricted audiences, member blocks and membership status still apply. Find mutual matches and connection requests continue to require mutual preferences and respect dealbreakers. Match % is weighted shared-interest overlap, not romantic compatibility. You can change your inputs, sorting and discovery preferences.
We ask for a country, region and city; we do not require your street address or GPS coordinates. Online matching can cross borders. Hosting, authentication, email and optional verification services may process data outside the country where you live. This beta does not promise storage in a particular country. Contact us before sharing sensitive information if you need details about a transfer or provider.
Browser storage and security
The website uses browser storage for sign-in sessions and selected interface preferences, and necessary authentication or bot-protection mechanisms. This application has no advertising tracker. Use a trusted device and sign out on shared computers. Requests use HTTPS, and protected server endpoints check member or administrator access. No website can guarantee absolute security or prevent someone from photographing, copying or taking a screenshot of content they can view.
Retention and deletion
Saved profiles, uploads and conversations remain while your account is active unless you remove them. Feedback remains available for support until you or an administrator deletes it; signed-out contacts can request deletion through Contact & help. You can edit your profile, remove individual images, pause directory visibility, or delete your account in Account & privacy.
Account deletion permanently closes site access and removes the profile, private identity record, photo records, feedback submitted through that account, blocks, membership settings, admin message deliveries and connections. Private admin messages addressed only to you are removed; shared announcements remain for their other recipients. Entire conversations involving that account, including the other participant's messages in those conversations, are removed from the live app. File removal and authentication-provider deletion are tracked separately; outages or incomplete provider setup can leave these pending. The confirmation gives you a receipt and says whether cleanup has finished. You can check that receipt on Contact & help. Optional ID-provider removal may require a separate administrator follow-up.
A minimal disabled account identifier and deletion receipt remain to prevent old sessions restoring the account and to track cleanup. Safety reports, relevant administrative records and information needed for an unresolved abuse issue or legal obligation may be retained with restricted access, subject to review. Copies already made by another person cannot be recalled. Service-provider backups and security logs are not necessarily erased immediately; their retention depends on the relevant provider and obligations. Ask us for a review of any retained personal information.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your information, withdraw an optional consent, or challenge a privacy decision through Contact & help. We may need to verify that you control the affected account before releasing or changing private data. Do not send a password, login code, payment information or identity document in that form. Your applicable legal rights, including any right to complain to a privacy regulator, are not limited by this notice.
This service is for people 18 and older. Do not create a child's profile or upload a child's identifying information. Report suspected underage accounts so the administrator can restrict access and review the data.
We will date changes to this notice and ask members to review material policy changes in the app. Optional new uses of sensitive information require their own explanation and choice.
